Meet the Team

No biz, just a hobby going out of control. In addition to fabric hoarding and striking, I also pattern test for a handful of groups.

I learned to sew as a kid; mom taught me and I participated in sewing with our local 4H chapter. I still own the first apron I ever made (with lots of help!) - I cute lil berry print! I started sewing knits after my embroidery obsession began; I found I wanted to make clothes from scratch for my daughter, not just put a nice design on a cheap dress. (Sidebar: My first serger arrives this week!)

My most-used pattern so far has been Ellie and Mac’s Discoverer Tee. I like that it is gender neutral, quick, easy, and light on fabric needs. There are many more interesting patterns out there though and I am easily distracted. I’m well known for buying a pattern and/or fabric then holding onto it for years and happily rediscovering it in a fit of cleaning/organizing, forgetting to finishing cleaning, and jumping into it instead . My favorite sewing gadget is my projector, hands down.
